We know what you're thinking. Maple syrup? Of all the products in the world, maple syrup is what makes our blog? Well yeah. We tend to think that part of what makes us cool and unique is that we'll talk about any product under $20, even if it's random like maple syrup. As long as it's under $20 and good quality, it's good enough for us to blog about. Now something like syrup will of course depend a lot on taste. That said, does it hit a good enough level of quality to at least merit a try? Let's find out.
First sample we chose is the 12.5 oz bottle of grade A dark amber maple syrup. Currently on Amazon for $9.79 and it has a 4.8 star score on over 400 ratings.
The second sample we chose is the 8.5 oz bottle of grade A amber syrup. Currently on Amazon for $5.48 and it has a 4.8 star score on over 90 ratings.
Both listings passed the Review Meta analysis. So now the important question is, what is the feedback actually saying? On the dark amber listing people remarked how much they like the taste and that the flavor and texture was high quality. On the regular amber listing one customer noted that they would drink it straight out of the bottle if it didn't look weird. You figure the syrup would have to be good on some kind of level to get that kind of review. One thing that does appear on both listings in the feedback is that while this brand is more on the pricey side, the customers do feel the taste and quality backs up the price and that they would be buying it again.
In the end you'll have to buy the syrup yourself and taste it to see if it's good for you. At the very least, based on the feedback we are seeing the quality and taste is good enough that even if you find the syrup is not your cup of tea, it at least won't go to total waste at it would be good enough for you to finish it and then try a new brand in the future.
