Caddy Splash vs Groove It: Is The Under $20 Item A Better Choice Than The Over $20 One?

The Caddy Splash and Groove It (or GrooveIt we have seen it spelled both ways) are wet golf brushes. What does that mean? It means they are a brush that is combined with a reservoir of water that allows the brush to get wet as its brushing the club face. This makes it easier to clean the club faces as opposed to a dry brush which can get most of the gunk off your golf club, while at the same time leaving a lot of the caked on stuff behind. The Groove It has recently come onto the scene as a good wet brush, however it does seem to be a bit pricer than other alternatives. So we decided to compare it against the Caddy Splash and see if the cheaper option can trump the more expensive one.

Below is the Caddy Splash. Currently $19.99 on Amazon and it has a 4.4 star score on over 1300 ratings.

If we're looking at the feedback, it is pretty clear that these items are both in the same league. Caddy Splash of course has many more ratings than the Groove It. This can easily be explained by the fact that the Caddy Splash has been on Amazon longer than Groove It, so they are going to rack up more.

If we had to figure out a reason why to go with the more expensive groove it than the cheaper caddy splash it would be that the groove it does have a wider brush head. It also appears that the reservoir is a bit smaller which makes it more portable. We know the caddy splash has a 4 ounce water capacity. We can't seem to find the water capacity for the Groove It. So we are basing this theory on looks alone.

In the end, they both appear to be good wet brushes that get the job done. If it really does matter the price, then clearly Caddy Splash is the way to go, because it is $5 bucks cheaper. And since it is under $20 it fits in more with the theme of our site.
