Ailun vs Spigen Screen Protector: What Are The Key Differences? We Ask Chat GPT

You know what kinds of products we really like? Products that pay for themselves. Screen protectors for sure fall under that category. As they preserve your smartphone screen from taking damage. By doing that you don't have to shell out the money to repair it or replace it, which we can assure you would be much more expensive than the cost it would be to put a screen protector on your phone. So if you haven't done it yet do so, and take a look out our analysis along with Chat GPT about two popular brands of screen protectors. Ailun and Spigen. Now of course it would take along while to compare every protector so for the sake of simplicity we'll run a comparison of their protectors for the iPhone 15. So let's start with that.

First we have the Ailun screen protectors for the iPhone 15. Currently on Amazon for $5.98 for a 3 pack and it has a 4.5 star score on over 51,000 ratings.

Ailun 3 Pack Screen Protector for iPhone 15 [6.1 inch] + 3 Pack Camera Lens Protector with Installation Frame,Case Friendly Tempered Glass Film,[9H Hardness] - HD [6 Pack]

Next we have the Spigen iPhone 15 protectors. Currently on sale for $16.99 for a pack of 2 and it has a 4.4 star score on over 1,100 ratings.

What clearly stands out is the difference in price. The Ailun is much cheaper and you get an extra screen out of it. So you would think that Spigen must have much higher quality right? Well it's hard to tell. Depending on the software you use you get two different answers. If you use Review Meta, they say the Ailun registers better feedback quality than Spigen. If you use Fakespot it's the exact opposite. Since we have a split decision, let's just make the assumption that the feedback across the board for both listings is of solid quality and can be trusted. So is there anything that could shift things into Spigen's favor? Let's ask Chat GPT...

"Both Ailun and Spigen are well-known brands that produce various accessories for smartphones, including screen protectors. The quality and performance of screen protectors can vary based on the specific model and features. Here's a general overview of both brands:

  • Ailun:

    • Pros:

      • Ailun screen protectors are often budget-friendly, providing a cost-effective option for users.

      • They offer a variety of models compatible with different smartphones.

      • Easy to find and purchase online.

  • Spigen:

    • Pros:

      • Spigen is a well-established brand known for producing high-quality smartphone accessories.

      • Their screen protectors often have a good reputation for clarity, touch sensitivity, and durability.

      • Spigen usually offers a variety of models, including tempered glass protectors.

When choosing between Ailun and Spigen screen protectors, consider your budget, the specific model of your smartphone, and your preferences for features like clarity, touch sensitivity, and durability. Additionally, reading customer reviews for the specific product and model you are interested in can provide valuable insights into the performance and reliability of each brand's screen protectors. Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, and it's essential to choose a screen protector that meets your specific needs and preferences."

When looking closer we do see that Chat GPT actually is right on one key issue and that is the adhesion. When looking at the feedback on Amazon the Ailun protectors have positive or neutral results in pretty much every category except one and that is adhesion. There is enough negative feedback on it for that to stand out. For the Spigen on the other hand, they have positive or neutral for every category. Nothing falls in the negative.

So all in all it's an interesting choice. If you go with Ailun you will be taking a slight gamble with the adhesion. That said they do try to appear to make that gamble worth your while by drastically taking down the price compared to the Spigen. Either way both are under $20 and won't break the bank. If price really is a big issue for you, then Ailun would probably be the better pick. Other than that, it's just a matter of taste.
